to start consigning with Amsterdam Second Chance Consignment, LLC find the button at the top of our website "Sign up to Consign!" where it will take you to our consigning platform. Under the login is a button for "Need a Consignor number?" this will create a login. Remember your consignor number! This will be your username.
Read and sign the Consignor agreement. This will give valuable information on what can and cannot be sold.
Don't forget to set a Drop off Appointment time and add it to your calendar! This is when you will bring all of your consigned items to our store front and put them on the floor so they are ready to be sold!
Restock drop off times will be available if you would like to add items during the first weekend of the sale. Restock drop offs are not by appointment, but only these time frames will be available (see event details for these time frames)
In the drop down menu select "work with consigned inventory" this is where you can add items. You can select a category, size, add a brief description as well as decide if items will be donated to a non profit after the sale, or if you want the price reduced on half off day. And of course you get to choose the Price! These are totally up to you.
Clothes MUST be hung on wire hangers. The hanger hook should look like a question mark. Any items that are 'too small' to be hung on a wire hanger can be attached to the hanger by safety pins. The pins should be on the top part of the hanger, this will keep items from sliding around.
Tags should be printed on WHITE lightweight CARDSTOCK. This will allow our equipment to read the tags as well as make the tags durable enough that they stay attached during the sale.
Tags should be attached to clothing on the left shoulder area, or on the right if the hanger looks like a question mark at the top. Tags can be attached to toys by taping them to bigger toys or items. Toy sets that have many pieces can be put in a zip lock bag and the tag taped to the outside of the bag. Shoes should be tied together or bagged.
Drop offs are when you bring all of your consigned items to our shop location. The clothing items will be checked over. We want all clothing items to still be in good shape. Any Major stains or rips in clothing will disqualify them from being sold. There will be sections in the room for shoes, toys, books, baby gear and more. All consigned items you will place on the shop floor in their respective areas. Once we ok your clothing items we will ask you to place them on the racks in their labeled areas.
After the sale is over, you will need to print your unsold items report from the portal and come back to our location to pick up your unsold items. You will find your items and we will double check to make sure all the items you have are yours. (items get stuck together sometimes on the racks.) Any left over items or forgotten items will be donated.
When you are tagging you get to decide if you want items donated after the sale. We donate items to a non profit in the area if you don't want the items back. This is something you can indicate in the tagging process. There will be a Donation Report that you can access from the Consigning platform.
Two weeks after the sale Amsterdam Second Chance Consignment, LLC will mail checks to the consignors.
Items we CAN NOT sell: Car seats, cribs made before 2011, crocheted blankets, bottle nipples, pacifiers, teethers breast pumps.
